come 
  back with me again 
to the dawn of our era 

this time we’re stopping in 
 the roaring 1530’s 
of course we’re still  in Europe

time has past and 
the renaisance is flickering 
to an ever less 
 self assured gaudy  close 


 there has been too much upheaval
