say you wanted to re patriate 
the proceeds of selling
 a lot of emerging market assets 
on the return trip  
you'd wants be able 
 to buy dollars cheap 

the old lower the dollar 
against my emerger cuurency 
that'll let me back in on a high 

then watch the dollar go back up
as the emerger's asset value 
 collapses behind me 

my gut sez
