harmony or struggle

after 30 years of neo lib ass kicking

do the toilers and workers
of latin america
need a stake in the process
             or an axe
                       in their hands ????

enter chile's new president .....

======================================

 south of the border
   two paths diverge up ahead

 one path points towards

          klass harmony

        the other

             klass struggle

 of course over a beer
         or under a blanket
  good intentions
         count for something special

at the one on one level

    lets not just remain civil
                      lets be human

(remember the crisscross of martov and lenin)

but when it gets up to
                    klass on klass ......

 kids
its always
      cats vs squirrels

 despite the warm tear
  in the harmonists saintly eye
 if you and yours
are part of the universal wage slub-ery
 forget about
all those sweet heart felt cries:

" follow me brothers and sisters
        I'll find u all
         a dignified place
             in the national choir"

                thats silver horse feathers

 "the all for one
                one for all"

      has got to stop
                 at the klass line
                               in a cloven society

        despite good feelings
         long suffering
                   and personal
                           sacrifice

 there's always
a cut and a slash
           waiting
         at the edge where
klass is forced to meet klass head on ....

------------------------------------------------

so no matter what songs are sung
                     in the middle passage
          by the end
                 they all
                  disolve into
                       the pack howls
                                     of
                                  klass struggle

                                  where
                                    there are
                              no parts left
                                    for harmonizers
