some problems with flattening the north south exchange rates

part one

peasant farmers

==============================

its already a huge problem

but lowering the effective price of us grain
in emerging economies and

you buggar the family plot as a source of cash

i caution here
not as a source of food for the familly itself
    of course
(marx's umbilical cord )

but as a source of fuller self reliance

the ending of the viable cereal cash crop

 will be like
the 19th century
end of marketable home spun yarn
                        only far worse

peasant households will have to move to high labor intensive specialty crops
and live stock raising
or else
             .......get a fuckin wage job
                                  or two or three

but to think this is why it might be resisted south side

don't forget
the agra fundia

the relative value of their holdings per se
will fall
even if the international value will
rise as the south currency rises

none of this hasn't been delt with before

look at korea taiwan

but protectionism
will be made to look more humane then it really is
