cause their only piece rate

is at the collective level 

 their individual output
      can't be 
unit counted quality rated   
  and paid accordingly 


 

like a team of  apple orchard pickers 
"might"
 get paid 

and  of course  timing 
pressures 
might cause there to be some in out rules 

and errr

theft  checked at the gate 

and  wreckage 

to limbs  and  such

blast off techniqiues as tree shakes 
band 
so now a need for supers 
 begins  to emerge 


   commercial production
of 
    a composite product 

has its piecable limitations

 cause there is no reward for slacking

   of any  "natural" pace

to make enough 

 average picks per hour rise 

as piece rates fall

    maybe 
the  notional
hourly  wage rate 
 holds  steady

they  speed up enough to keep it level 

by raising  total units per hour per picker 

and
now  value (apples)
      " picked and gathered " per hour 
is up 

  nice   

but what if like cars

one operation falls another 

a line 
can not be pieced unless
there are  tasks
  holding bins etc etc 
no line 
slows output 

even with piece rates
  for each operation

partly made cars can't go in bins 
at each stage 

mybe if you had two levels 

with stages transitioning to the next
by an up elevation or a down 
each spot  with a start burst of   shunts
  each to the next  availible operative ....



   


  if piece work were used to the max

would whips go to a min

 how did procuction
get so 

 un natural

why is it almost all time waged now ?????????
