delong shot strikes out

 my favorite
 fat bobo
 butt brain
 brian delong
doesn't see
the real incentives
of many
corporate
    management elites ......

 the brian:

" Market competition
gives large-company managers
powerful reasons
to minimize inefficiency"

-------- inefficiency ???
as in what ???

more valueadded
        for less production wages ???

okay maybe at the foreman level -------

-- by the way
this is brian amidst a steep
 defense of public large orgs

like clinton's FEMA -------------

""There is no magic "market dust"
 that the market sprinkles
 on organizations
to make them efficient"

------
HE SEEMS TO FORGET
 non profits face markets too

how dopey

in fact non profits
  often face lethal
 market constraints
  like a lecture series
 with a hall cost
make or brake
 after each nites talk -------------

" Managers make organizations efficient"

---
nonsense
much well rated piece work
requires no management
of the work process per se
what so ever
only a quality inspection
post facto

like peer reviewed
articles for an academic journal --------

----he lists only two
incentives
provided by the company itself
he prolly knows of more
but
the post was
 dashed off no doubt --------

"the fear of losing your job "

---- my my and isn't
     that something

the sack

by who ?

the manager of the manager ??

who's incentive
  is what ?

fear
of
the sack??

by who

  blah blah

up and up we go

till

that final "your fired' level

  by ...

the board

 the board's incentive

 sacked by

what ?? ?

a raider ???

    a big stockholder ???

the lines of transmission have
grown a bit tenous here

much wiggle room
eh ???

   some where along here
the flow may reverse

the game change

from top down production efficiency

to bottom up scheinvert efficiency

and the contradictions here

produce

       enrons
      robo brain wash

intentional
 chapter 11's

butchered cash cows

etc etc etc

a rogues gallery of winning schein vert games
unrelated to product efficiency ----------

------- but on the up side there's
according to brian -----------

"the desire for more commodious living"

------------ at what level
as one rises
up the ladder
does the way
 to a better address
 on pleasure st
 stop passing
thru innovations
on the plant floor ??? ------

------- but then here comes
the real thus sprak sapa-thustra ---------

 "But there are other possible
 motivators as well"

"the pleasant feeling
of a job well done
 the pleasant feeling
 of having helped someone
the shame of public humiliation
 when you have messed up
loyalty to the person
who put you in the job"

     and so forth

     -----

ah
the sociability of the naked ape

its what makes us civil beings

   just ask....plato

great brian

really great

stay in the academy you
shameless
        ivy goon ------
