SEEMS TO BE 
enjoying a “resurgence” 


 According to a recent statement 
by the PARTY

 “  our NPA has significantly increased 
the number 
     of its full-time Red fighters"

   the ARP argues that the NPA 
with an estimated
   8000 troops 
is "still a paper tiger" 

and yet
the official counter insurgency
  estimates figure 
 it will take "6 to 10 more years" 
to quell the NPA 

  

 But while Manila openly 
if sotto voce 
       makes
 its  anti-Maoist counterinsurgency 
    a renewed  priority

 despite
a military presence
on the islands
Washington
too into
anti muslim  shit 
        has not seen fit 
       yet 
           to much stressed
         the Filipino Maoist threat

 and as always
The U.S. press ignores 
the People’s War 
in the Philippines entirely 


 most  literate Americans 
have no idea 
that there’s 
a Maoist insurgency there


which is normal enough

and
certainly
 in keeping 
with
the  studiously
preserved 
    press legend

 that  real live
red jungle type  communism 
"  has  gone
    to join 
 the florida skunk ape 
in the land of yester year "
