medicaid : the latest enemy in uncle's war on welfare

they say it takes a real crisis
 to solve tough social problems...

well
the continuing
fiscal crisis
at our state capitol's

has one biggest problem
                                   medicaid

so watch out below

              you sick fucks

==========================================

here's
a recent
  la times recap :

" Medicaid was enacted in 1965
as a joint federal-state program "

"States administer the program
and pay 20% to 50% of the total costs"

" The federal government
pays the rest
 using a  sliding
   contribution rate
  based on each state's
                  per capita income "

"all states now
  go well beyond
         federally mandated
                           coverage "

such that:

 "today Medicaid
  covers 53 million Americans....."

examples:

"it pays
 the bills
 for 60%
of all nursing home residents
   and 37%
       of all births "

 plus

" most states now
include
  prescription drug benefits"

--------------------------------------

all this oughta

sound nice and dicey
to ya

what with

 medical costs
rising faster
then
 a boy scouts boner

and

nearly every state gubmint
in the union
claiming they're hopelessly
 "revenue challenged" ........

-----------------------------------------------------
" some time
why don't u u u u
         try
making sound public choices
        with a
           fiscal set up
made out of balsa wood ...."

--------------------------------------------------

and that not being enough
of a nut cracker

 then comes
           the bush millers

   nibbling away
at uncle welcher's share pay rates ....

---------------------------------------------------

"let
          the hack em backs
                             begin"
