the three layers of international economic activity

 the three are

1) trade

 2)credit

 3)direct investment

and the greatest of these is......

===========================

  direct investment

for uz consumers to bene
all we need is trade

to help speed up
 a "poor" nation
investment
in developing
  plentiful natural resources
 or mechanizing
the work of its cheap labor

"we' can use our credit

but if "we"
really want all the exploitation marbles
we need to get in there
on the ground and
buy it build it and ship it "ourselves"

go direct
 to
 the source

--------------------------

now as old henry wallace used to say
if you lend sometimes you got to go collect

and thats a problem

but yor rivals won't go to war over
a collection expedition

its when you try securing your postion perminently
by using force to get direct access
and cut the slices too thin for the other big boys

thats when .....
the guns of august
can be heard in the distance

 today hell seems like forever

europe don;t got an independent armed force
thanx to the nato okee dokee

russia is still
an un-re- risen suffle

more the source of others temtations
like ottoman turkey
with its lost dependencies
now
 just natural fruit trees
seductively
hanging low
for invasive
outside pickers

and china?
 still having
things all
too good as things stand
but a nasty trade back turn
like we pulled on japan
in the late 30's .....

and then there's
myfavorite
potential swing player
japan

"when godzilla stands up
on his own two feet
the game will get
 greater
  and
the chances
china and russia
will start
war dancin brighten like
a childs face at christmas"
               chalmers johnson

------------------------

i won't bother u with the prospect
of the EC trying
to re attaching its testicles ...

but oh is this all so long away ?

 prolly
shit
we must have miles and miles to go yet

from here
i can't even hear big bertha
let alone the front line 75's
