fan change

  the sox....

the bronx strangle hold is broken

a new generation of fans
           like my daughter
                      got a well deserved
                              reward last nite
  as the boston red sox
after decades of
time and again
 last minute feebosity
came from three games down
to beat the fucking yankees
an absolutely unbelievable
retribution-resurection

bean town
queen for a day !

 ===================================

 and their old fanz?

all several generations
    of them

   numb guyz and galz
                   like me
well now
we can die off
              with a lesson
              well learned at last:
         nothing
        absolutely nothing what soever
          not even
                   tormenting failure

                  lasts for ever

my father would have taken pleasure
 witnessing this liberation

this slaying
of the hereditary nemesis

not that he ever
personalized the sox as I once did

at any rate
he would have had a few nice moments

 but he 's gone
  and
   such is the accidental
           side of existence

his lessons died with him

Like I wasn't there on the living room floor in '86, ya bastid! Like I didn't have a poster of Ellis Burks on my wall for my entire Yawkey-stricken pre-adolescence. New fan, my butt.

new first born in the sense of unruined perhaps " still fresh " would have served me better here then "new" in that some of the" older" new fans have had more then a few brushes with the old yawkey funawakee wallows no its that the "news" were not gutted by that gauntlet a testament to their toughness perhaps butsky i be gutted by it or at least thru it gutted mol tse gutted
