the third 16th century

“whose first sixteenth century
is this
since it's at least
the world's third sixteenth century ”
          commander dante NPA

    that's
not so cryptic as it may seem

 here’s a little something

 Moses sent to Aaron

the commander
  may be referencing

“ we cannot deny that bourgeois society
has experienced its second sixteenth century

a sixteenth century which i hope
will knell it to its grave
as much as the first pushed it into life

   the special task
of bourgeois society is

 the restoration of

the world market
 at least in outline
and
 a production system
that rests on the world market

 since the world is round
this restoration
seems now complete

with the colonization of

 california and australia

and

the opening of

 china and japan

the difficult question for us is this:

   on the european continent
 the revolution
is imminent
and
 will also immediately
take on a socialist character .

 will it then not be
crushed of necessity
in this small corner

while on the much larger terrain
the movement of bourgeois society

is still in the ascendant ”
        october 1858

  and it was crushed
  and more then once too

until the great war
tore a hole
 in everything
  in europe
   and an uncrushable
prole/pleb state emerged
 and survived 70 years
 of external battering
and self destruction
